Seven MHHS Choral Students Selected for State Choir

Seven students from the Mountain Heritage High School Music Department were invited to participate in the 2018 Mars Hill University Choral Festival. This past fall, nearly 800 students from across the state auditioned to earn a spot in this prestigious

ensemble, and the following MHHS singers were among those selected: Olivia Morgan, Desere Clark, Grace Lawhern, Olivia Hughes, Dawson Letterman, Gabriel Garland, and Mason Booth.  On February 2-3, the selected choir members united for intensive rehearsals, concluding with a well-attended and impressive concert. MHHS choir director, Heather Graham, reflected, “I am so very proud of our students. They have immense talent, have worked so hard, and have represented us well on a state level. To have 7 students selected is a tremendous honor, and truthfully quite uncommon. It speaks to how wonderful they are as both students and musicians.”
