Community Feedback Wanted for Ray-Cort Park Renovations

Yancey County Government is seeking feedback from community residents regarding renovation plans for Ray-Cort Park.  They invite the public to come by the Yancey County Technology Center, Town Square, Burnsville (former Yancey Public Library location).\ on  Monday, March 19th from 4:00-6:00 PM  The County has worked closely with High Country Council of Governments, Blue Ridge Resource Conservation and Development, AMY Regional Library, Partners Aligned Toward Health, Yancey Alliance for Young Children, and others to seek community input regarding desired park elements, changes, and usage.  Working with Site Design Studio, this input has been turned into two conceptual site plans, which now need another level of community feedback. When you come by the Technology Center you will be able to vote on aspects of the site plans that you want to see in the renovated park.  Feedback will be sought on individual park elements and the location of those elements. The County wants Ray-Cort Park to be a community asset that is utilized by all ages and sectors of the community for play, physical activity, gathering spaces, recreation, and community vitality.
