Jason Robinson Elected Vice-President NC Assoc of County Clerks

Jason Robinson, Yancey County Clerk to the Board of Commissioners, has been elected VicePresident of the North Carolina Association of County Clerks. Mr. Robinson was unanimously elected at the annual business meeting held recently in Pinehurst. He is the first clerk from Yancey County to hold an office in the professional clerk’s association which represents all 100 counties. Mr. Robinson previously served as the chair of the committee that rewrote the by-laws for the association and also as a member of the board of directors and as treasurer before being elected vice-president. “It is a humbling experience to be elected from amongst my peers across the state and I appreciate the faith they have shown in me by electing me to this position. I am honored by the opportunity to represent Yancey County as the vice-president of the association. To be the first clerk from Yancey County to be elected into a leadership position within the association is a wonderful experience”, stated Robinson. Mr. Robinson is also the first clerk in the history of Yancey County to be a North Carolina Certified County Clerk. Mr. Robinson has served as Yancey County’s Clerk to the Board of Commissioners since 2008.
