It was a gathering place for Families, friends and community meetings for 34 years. The Western Sizzlin Steak house in Burnsville closed it’s doors on May 23rd. Tear down of the steakhouse building began yesterday morning around 9:30 am. By mid afternoon a pile of rubble was all that remained. Many townspeople expressed mixed emotions over losing this long time Burnsville business. They feel like the town needs a large restaurant for meetings and large gatherings but they also look forward to Bojangles coming to town at that location in the near future.
