Details: Avery Victor Randolph of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 3rd. He was born September 9, 1937 in Burnsville, NC, the son of Avery W. Randolph and Martha Williams Randolph. He retired from the U.S. Navy following 20 years of distinguished and decorated service, receiving five awards of the good conduct medal and the National Defense Medal with Bronze Star. He later owned and operated Randolph Realty. Mr. Randolph was active in many civic organizations including the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors, VFW, Fleet Reserve, American Legion, Moose Lodge and Order of Elks. He enjoyed tending his garden and time well spent with his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley Randolph; his daughters Vickie Lynn Rothwell (Randolph), and Cheryl Annette Bremer (Baron); his grandchildren Julie Anne Ansley (Travis), Christopher Gierald Henderson, and Rebecca Lynn Randolph; and great grandsons Levi and Amos Ansley; and many other loving family members and friends.
Funeral services in celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday March 7, 2013 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park. Full military honors will be conferred. Family members and friends will gather from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
