Burnsville Little Theatre Presents "The Prince of Dark Corners"
The Burnsville Little Theatre will present "The Prince of Dark Corners", a Gary Carden play, at Harris Middle School Saturday September 7th at 7:30pm with all receipts going to the David Hall Fund. David is a friend of the Burnsville Little Theatre and was recently severely injured in a logging accident that resulted in his having a leg amputated. Bob Wilson, President of the BLT said he hopes the good people of Mitchell County will show their support by helping David through these dark days. The play focuses on the life of Major Lewis Redmon, a 19th century outlaw who was sometimes referred to as "The Jesse James of the Mountains", and was considered a hero by the inhabitants of the mountains of North and South Carolina. Milton Higgins portrays Mr. Redmond in this BLT production and was featured in a film version of the play which was recently aired on PBS TV. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and will be on sale at the door the night of the performance. Harris Middle School is located at 121 Harris Street in Spruce Pine. If you are unable to attend but would like to help David, mail your donations to: The Burnsville Little Theatre, 250 Longview Drive, Burnsville, NC 28714. For more information call 682-2609.
