Charles Patrick (Pat) McKinney, age 49, of Hwy 261, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord January 29, 2018. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC. Patrick was a member of Bakersville Baptist Church and attended Little RockCreek Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Mitchell High School. He enjoyed traveling during his fathers lifetime. Patrick enjoyed helping his mother, his music, and his friends.
Survivors include: his mother Marie Hobson McKinney, of the home, one brother Ben McKinney (Marcia), of Bakersville, NC, and three nephews; Matthew, Mark, and Ryan Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his father Benton McKinney, and his brother Dan Peterson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM in Henline – Hughes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 at 2:00PM in Little Rock Creek Baptist Church with Bob McCurry, Danny Silver, and Toby Crowder officiating. Interment will follow the service at Bakersville Memorial Cemetery.
