Cougar Hoop Teams Tip Off Season With Green-White Games
Hoops season at Mountain Heritage High School officially tipped off Friday night with the Cougar Green-White inter-squad games featuring varsity and junior varsity girl’s and boy’s teams. A good crowd of vocal supporters watched as the players put on a show with skills competitions and lots of live full court action. The event also gave fans a chance to meet the Cougar coaching staffs who are working hard getting their teams ready for the 2012-2013 season openers November 19th at Erwin. Both varsity teams will gear up for the opener with scrimmage games this week. The Lady Cougars will host T.C. Roberson at 5:30 on Tuesday while the girls will travel to Cherokee on Thursday. The Cougar varsity boys will play both scrimmage games this week on the road. The team will travel to T.C.Roberson on Tuesday and will make the trip to Cherokee on Thursday to take on the 1A Braves.
