The Yancey County Humane Society offers a beautiful community dog park at the Animal Shelter off Cane River School Road. This dog park provides county residents with an area where they can spend quality time exercising their pets and sharing memorable moments with fellow pet owners and volunteers can provide fresh air and exercise to Shelter pets awaiting adoption. The dog park is open to the public from 10 A.M. to sunset, 7 days a week. There is no fee to use the dog park. Needless to say there are Rules and Regulations to follow. Copies of these Rules and Regulations are attached to the dog park fence. Please observe all posted informational signs because the success of the dog park relies upon each of you.
