Details: Born on January 25, 1928 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl Autrey Burleson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Ledford who passed away in 1999. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Ledford and a sister, Mary Bell Buchanan.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Wanda Ward and husband, Kenneth of Spruce Pine; her son; Roy Dean Ledford and wife, Jolene of Randleman; three grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Ellie Ledford will be conducted on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Big Crabtree Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Rathbone officiating. Interment will follow in the Big Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Big Crabtree Baptist Church.
