Free Fishing Day for July 4th
The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission reminds everyone that July 4th is "Free Fishing Day" in North Carolina. From 12:01am-11:59pm on July 4th, everyone in North Carolina, resident and non-resident alike, can fish in any public body of water, from mountain trout waters to coastal waters, without purchasing a fishing license or additional trout fishing privilege. All other fishing regulations, such as size and creel limits and lure restrictions apply. For more information go to ncwildlife.org.
