Details:  Frona Murdock Huskins Carroll, age 90, passed away Wednesday December 19, 2012 at the Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher, NC after a period of declining health. She was born October 12, 1922 and was the daughter of John and Florence Ruth Hoyle Murdock. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by brothers; Ed, Lonas, Walter, Jeter, Virgil, Homer and Ollen Murdock and sisters; Naomi Williams, Mable Murdock, Mary Belle Barnett and Margaret Silvers, and husbands; Lloyd Huskins and John Carroll.
     Mrs. Carroll was a member of First Baptist Church of Blue Hill, Maine and Main Street Baptist Church of Hendersonville, NC. She worked in the office of Dr. Glenn Buchanan in Spruce Pine for several years. She was an avid reader of books and poetry and enjoyed life. She enjoyed traveling and made friends where ever she went.
     Surviving are her son; Timothy Huskins and grandson Benjamin Huskins of Bakersville, and brother; John E. Murdock and wife Katie of Hendersonville.
     Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Lily Branch Baptist Church, with the Dr. Victor Rampey and Rev. Homer Murdock officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till the hour of the service at the church. Interment will follow at the Lily Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
