Details: Inez McKinney Duncan formerly of Bridgeview Road in Spruce Pine went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Spruce Pine.
Inez was born on August 14, 1917 in Mitchell County to the late Marvin and Gusta Buchanan McKinney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Duncan, Sr. who passed away in 1981. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dewey McKinney and his wife, Joe; her granddaughter, Susan Duncan and her great grandson, Torsten Riddle.
She was a member of the Pine Branch Baptist Church and she loved her Lord,church family and her Sunday School Class. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and working in her garden. Also, she loved her family and particularly her spending time with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Iris Riddle and husband, Dewitt of Marion and her son; Andrew Duncan, Jr. and wife, Sieglinde of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren; Jeff Duncan, Rosalyn Duncan, Angela Fye, Steve Riddle, Andrea Riddle, and Marvin Riddle; ten great grandchildren; and seven great, great grandchildren.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the memorial service honoring the life of Mrs. Inez Duncan on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Pine Branch Baptist Church with the Rev’s. Bobby Joe Greene, Steve Williams, and Marvin Riddle officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. A time to receive friends, share memories and support the family will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Pine Branch Baptist Church with the service to immediately follow at 2:00 pm.
