Jeff Hollifield, age 60, of Dale Road in Spruce Pine died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.
Born on December 26, 1957 in McDowell County, he was the son of the late Paul Hollifield and Dixie Hogan Hollifield. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law; Harry Lee Pittman and his nephew; Tony Pittman. Jeff was a graduate of Harris High School and was a member of the Harris High School Blue Devils football team.
Jeff will be remembered for enjoying being outdoors and spending time in the woods. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and flowers.
Left to cherish Jeff’s memories are his mother; Dixie H. Hollifield of Spruce Pine; the mother of his children; Cynthia Hollifield of Spruce Pine; his daughters; Crissy Hollifield of Charleston, SC and Cheltsea Duncan of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren; Jordan Huff, Gabriel Duncan, Michael Duncan, and Cooper Huff; his sister; Linda Pittman of Bakersville and his niece; Angela Pittman of Asheville.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the funeral service honoring the life of Jeff Hollifield on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. A time to support the family, share memories and receive friends will be on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery.
