Details:  Joyce Ann Burleson of Spruce Pine went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 1st at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Audie and Mary Silvers Burleson.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers:  Donald and Dewey Burleson.  She was a 1957 graduate of Harris High School and worked for over 30 years at Hampshire Hosiery.  Joyce was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and loved to sew.  
     Surviving is her son, Cecil D. Burleson and wife, Kathy, of Spruce Pine; two grandchildren:  Cecil C. Burleson and Mary K. Burleson; one sister, Glenda Gragg and husband, Bill, of Newland; two brothers:  Carroll Ray Burleson of Granite Falls and Harold S. Burleson of Spruce Pine.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
     Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 3rd, in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.  Rev. Steve Williams and Rev. Toby Crowder will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
