Lady Cougar Volleyball Camp Draws A Crowd 7-14-14
Yancey County volleyball players have fun at second annual camp

Prospective Yancey County volleyball players were enthusiastic and learned a lot at the annual camp held at Mountain Heritage last week where about 60 kids, from elementary to middle school age, practiced the basics of the game with instruction from Coach Beth Witt and her staff of several high school players.
“It was a great response,” Coach Witt said of her second annual camp and the week’s activities. “We continue to have a lot of interest and growing numbers involved in our volleyball program, something that will pay off for us in the future, the Heritage Coach said.
In the middle school session’s prizes were given daily for passing, serving and hustle as both Cane River and East Yancey each had their head coaches working with the young ladies each day.
“I am very happy to have support from our middle schools,” Witt said.
