The body of a Lake James drowning victim was recovered around 2 pm yesterday in approximately 30 feet underwater, west of what is known as The Big Island. 45 year old Christopher Michael Morris went missing near the Big Island area around 6:22 p.m. Sunday.
Rescue crews from all around the region begin the search Sunday night and continued Monday and Tuesday.
Authorities say the man was not wearing a life jacket, something they urge everyone to do.
