MHHS Choral Students Selected for State Choir

Three students of the Mountain Heritage High School Music Department were invited to participate in the Mars Hill University Choral Clinic 2017. This past fall, nearly 900 students from across the state auditioned to earn a spot in this prestigious ensemble, and the following MHHS singers were among the selected: Shogo Ohta-Weir, Jessica Duncan, and Olivia Morgan (pictured here along with director Heather Graham). On February 3-4, the selected choir members united to rehearse under the direction of one of the most well known choral directors, Dr Craig Jessop (former director of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir). The weekend concluded with an impressive and well-attended concert. Heather Graham, the students' music teacher reflected, "It's a rigorous and yet tremendously rewarding process, and I am so grateful that we had an opportunity to represent our school at such a high level. It had been a wonderful experience for us all."
