Details:  Mafra Tipton of Burnsville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 3rd at Brookside Rehabilitation and Care.  A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Hicks and Mittie Renfro McCurry and the wife of Willard Tipton who died in 1992.  She was a founding member of Ridge View Presbyterian Church.
     Surviving are her son Walter H. Tipton and wife Juanita and granddaughter Andrea of Burnsville; a sister: Fairy Fox of Kingsport, TN and several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Glenna and Brenda.
     A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in Ridge View Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Red Hill.  Rev. Tommy Robertson will officiate.
