Marijuana Growing Operation in Madison County
A sophisticated indoor marijuana growing operation was busted yesterday in Madison County. Inside the house were two rooms filled with pot plants, some growing chemicals, and the oven was filled with bags of marijuana. John Ledford of the Marshall Police Department said the house is on Redmond Road. Police discovered what was once a home was now being used for business. Ledford says police have known about the operation for several months. They finally had enough information to get search warrants and make the bust in the late afternoon. No one has been arrested at this time but police know who the owner of the residence is. It's not the biggest indoor growing operation Marshall Police have busted, it is one of the most sophisticated. The S.B.I. will join in the investigation today.
