Details:  Marvin Dale Honeycutt of Azalea Lane in Burnsville went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2012.  A native of Yancey County, he was a son of Rita Whitson Honeycutt of Burnsville and the late Miller Honeycutt.
     Surviving, in addition to his mother, is a sister:  Nancy Honeycutt Davis of Morganton; and a brother:  Raymond Honeycutt of Falls Church, Virginia.  Marvin was also known as “Papaw” to Cadence and Riley Parker.
     Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.  Revs. Dwight Boone, Jr. and Haskie Junior Honeycutt will officiate.  Burial will be in the Academy Hill Cemetery.
     The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
