Mary Glenn Chandler Laws, age 70, of Windy Gap, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018.
Mary had such a gracious and loving spirit about her. She loved her family immensely. She was the daughter of Edd and Dorothy Chandler, who she is now reunited with.
Mary loved life and tried so hard to show God lived in her heart. She was a member of Ivy Gap Church and Bethel Baptist Church for years. She worked with the youth and played the piano and organ. Her passion was singing and being involved with the choir at Victory Baptist Church, where she was a member for the last 20 years.
She was an outstanding mother and wife. Her understanding and nurturing way gained her sharing her with two wonderful men. She shared 22 years with Bobby J. Miller of Mars Hill and she spent the last 19 years with Paris R. Laws of the home, and of course her beloved B.J. (her dog). She also leaves behind a daughter, Kim Forbes (Billy) of Burnsville; son, Doug Miller (Tina) of Mars Hill; granddaughter, Rindi; two grandsons: Robbie and Steven; five great-grandbabies: Takoa, Bubba, Nathan, Bently and Skylar and a brother, Ronnie Chandler of Burnsville.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 13th in Victory Baptist Church. Rev. Denver Styles and Pastor David Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
