Details: On January 13, 2013, Maude Hughes Dulaney left the bonds of earth for the splendor of Heaven. There she met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was reunited with her husband, Lee, and other family and friends. Maude’s chief occupation was to see that her family was well fed and taken care of. “MAMA, YOU DID A GREAT JOB, THANK YOU.”
Left to cherish her memory, are a daughter: Willa Dean Robinson and husband, Euranious; sons: Roy Dulaney and wife, Beverly, Ted Dulaney, and Charles Dulaney; granddaughter: Renee Higgins and husband, Michael; great grandson: Justin Higgins; sisters: Ellen Bradley and Betty Hilemon all of Burnsville.
Born April 1, 1921, Maude was the daughter of the late Percy and Nettie Briggs Hughes. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Nan Gardner and brothers: Jason, Verlin and Robert Hughes.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Shoal Creek Baptist Church of which she was the oldest original member. Revs. Dick Westbrook and Dallas Renfro will officiate. Burial will be in the Dulaney Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. At other times, the family will be at the home of Willa Dean Robinson, 141 River Loop Drive.
