Michelle Buchanan, age 46, of Crabtree, passed away on Monday, February 19th, 2018. A native of Mitchell County, she was a daughter of the late Juanita Nanney and Howard Buchanan, Sr.
Left to cherish her memories are her siblings: Mary Jo Burleson and husband, Greg, of Arbuckle, Donna Chrisawn of Crabtree, Theresa Buchanan of Bakersville, Buster Buchanan of Crabtree, and Michael Roy Buchanan of Spruce Pine and her paternal grandmother, Pearl Buchanan. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21st. in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Service. Pastor Chad Chrisawn will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in Crabtree Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
