Mildred Hughes Robinson

Mildred Hughes Robinson, 91, of Prices Creek, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her home.

A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Fonze and Frances Bailey Hughes, and the wife of Raymond Robinson, Sr., who died in 1991.  She was also preceded in death by a son Raymond ‘Ray’ Robinson, Jr., sisters: Helen Wilson, Ruth Thomas, Margaret Azel and Shirley Rhyne and brothers; Ralph, Leroy and Max Hughes.

Surviving are a daughter: Diane Silvers and husband Ricky of Burnsville; sons: Jim Robinson and wife Karen of Indian Creek, Dennis Robinson and wife Karen of Brush Creek, Ronnie Robinson and wife Diana of Green Mountain, Doug Robinson and wife Wanda of Cane River and John Robinson and wife Mary Ellen of Burnsville; daughter-in-law: Jenelle Robinson of Burnsville; Grandchildren: Crystal Silvers, Tammy Mannis, Burlene Franklin, Steve Robinson, Lisa Isom, Guy Robinson, Tim Robinson, Jennifer Woody, Suzy McFee, Nicole Nickles, Jessica Ellis, Kevin Robinson, Julie Peterson, Franke Robinson and Shawn Robinson, several Great Grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren: sister: Martha Burleson of Spruce Pine and twin sister; Katherine Moore  of Stanley; brothers: Jack Hughes, Charles Hughes, Mike Hughes and Rodney Hughes all of Burnsville and Larry Hughes of Brevard.

Funeral services will be held at 7 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.  Pastor Jimbo Seaton and Rev. Philip Garland will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the Cane River Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
