The Mitchell County Chapter 58 of the Disabled American Veterans will hold their annual Veteran's Day Ceremony on Sunday November 11th at 11:00am at the Historic Mitchell County Courthouse in Bakersville.  Everyone is invited to this opportunity to show your appreciation to those who have served our country so well.  Around noon they will move to the Creek Walk in Bakersville and hold an American Flag Decommissioning Ceremony for the proper disposal of tattered, faded and torn American flags.  They also will have free hot dogs and bottles of water through the afternoon.  Everyone is welcome to attend and if you have flags that need proper disposal, bring them with you.
