Mitchell EDC Launches Website
Mitchell County Economic Development Commission has announced the launch of its new website: www.mitchellcountyedc.com. The new site is a virtual repository for economic development information for Mitchell County, NC, and was designed to inform and assist a variety of visitors: from the local business person, to site selection agents, to entrepreneurs, and to prospective businesses looking for new commerce sites.
“The website is one more tool that demonstrates Mitchell County’s commitment to the retention and attraction of new business, and will serve as an important resource to those seeking to learn about doing business here in Mitchell County. The new website is very professional and should be a benefit for those looking for a site to consider in Mitchell County as a viable option for their business,” stated Mitchell County Commissioner Joe Street.
The new site features pages covering topics of: the Business Climate in Mitchell County, Site and Building Availability, Workforce Development, Quality of Life in Mitchell County, Economic Incentives, and a Photo Gallery. Other important components include demographics, labor and educational statistics; maps; current images; featured sites and buildings; and an agricultural profile. The site enables the user to easily access all of this useful and timely information in a clear-cut and organized format.
The Mitchell County Economic Development Office is making great strides forward with its new look, new domain, and soon to be released electronic newsletter intended to be a valuable resource between the EDC office and Mitchell County businesses. Mitchell County Economic Interim Development Director Bill Slagle added: “We’re confident our new EDC website will be beneficial in helping prospective businesses find information about ‘doing business’ here in Mitchell County.”
