Details: Nancy Gunn Porter of the Double Island Community, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 25, 2014 in Mission Hospital.
A native of Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Bert and Gladys Henley Dishongh. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Lieutenant Colonel Joe Bert Dishongh and a sister, Dorothy Dishongh Eddy.
Surviving is her loving husband of 21 years, Duncan Edgar Porter of the home, daughters; Diana Burch, of Little Rock, Arkansas and Elizabeth Gunn, of Burnsville; son: Holcomb Gunn, of Florence, AZ; sister: Sylvia Vida Dishongh, of Little Rock, AR; nephews; Joe B. Dishongh Jr., of Dallas Texas, Michael Eddy, of Savanna, GA; niece: Lisa Dishongh MD, of CT; sister-in-law: Elizabeth Campbell, of AR; brother-in-law: Talbort Porter, of AR.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29th at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Rev. Beth Turner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Porter-Gunn Family cemetery on Chestnut Dale Branch Drive.
