One stop early voting begins today and will continue through Saturday November 3rd. In Mitchell County one stop voting will be held at two locations, the Town Hall in Spruce Pine and at the board of elections office at the Courthouse in Bakersville. Early voting hours in Mitchell County are from 8am till 5pm Monday through Friday and from 8am till 1pm on Saturday November 3rd. There’s only one early voting location in Yancey County, at the Board of Elections office in Burnsville, from 9am till 6pm Monday through Friday and from 9am till 1pm on Saturday November 3rd. Absentee ballots were mailed out to voters beginning in September and the last day to request mail-in absentee ballots is October 30th.
