On Thursday, May 8, the members of the Rotary Club of Spruce Pine received a presentation by Rotarian Carole Arthurs on Alzheimer's Disease. She spoke from family experience on some of the early signs and how to handle an aging family member when they start to show some significant symptoms of this disease. Rotary sponsors a CART bucket (Coins for Alzheimer's Research Trust) that is collected weekly and then donated for research. Rotary District 7670 has donated $46,183 to this fund.
