Details:  Raymond W. Hill has gone home to meet his heavenly Father.
     He was born in Catawba County October 11th, 1943.  He was the son of the late Eleanor Grace Pruitt Hill and Millard Russell Hill.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Mae Hill Laxton and Ruth Hill; three brothers: Willie Ray Hill, Marshall Hill and Jerry W. Hill, Sr.
     Raymond is survived by two sisters, Catherine Sigmon and Della Lynn, wife of Buck Lynn; two brothers: James E. Hill and Paul Grady Hill, husband of Faye Hill; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving extended family at Jonas Ridge Adult Care Center: Johnny and Betty Barrier, Jennifer Hudson, wife of Eddie Hudson, Cindy Chapman, Clint Manuel, Evan Chapman, Linda Franklin, Eric Franklin and Dorinda Franklin.
     Raymond was loved by all who knew him, and if you were ever his friend, you were always his friend.  He never forgot his friends or family and we will never forget him.
     There will be a graveside funeral service on Saturday, March 9th, at 1 p.m. at the Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hickory.
