In May of this year, artist Rolf Holmquist and his wife received the devastating news that their daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter had been murdered in their home in Phoenix, AZ. The Traditional Voices Group will sponsor a benefit concert for the family of Rolf Holmquist on September 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Burnsville Town Center. This benefit concert will feature the music of Brian and Joey Gurl, Terry McKinney and Friends, and the Work In Progress Band. Judy Alexander is also appearing. Ticket prices are $15 at the door. Rolf is an artist who lives in the Micaville community, and he has been very generous to various individuals and organizations of Yancey and Mitchell Counties. Now is the time to return that generosity.
