Scott Sparks, age 51, of Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 19th, 2018.
Scott earned his bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina, his masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and was a teacher at Karns High School.
He was a former College Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, former Pastor at White Stone Church, and founding Pastor of The Grove Church. Scott’s passion was leading people to Christ and walking alongside them in their faith journey.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Penny Sparks, sons Nate Sparks, 21, Cooper Sparks, 19, and Brodie Sparks, 16, parents, Benny and Frances Sparks, sister, Trish Sparks, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church, with funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Josh Duncan will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 am interment service on Friday, February 23rd, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery.
