Details: Stanley Eugene ‘Gene’ McKinney of Frank Beam Road in Spruce Pine, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine.
Born on August 11, 1956 in Burke County, he was the son of the late Clayton and Mary Thompson McKinney. He was a member of the Yellow Mountain Baptist Church and a retired welder.
Graveside services and interment will be on Monday, December 24, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Yellow Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Webb Funeral Home.
Mr. Gene McKinney is survived by his daughters; Gina Queen and husband, Jamie of Newland and Lynn Yelton of Morganton; his brothers; R.C. McKinney of Newland; Lee McKinney of Marion; Floyd and Lloyd McKinney both of Newland; his sisters; Frances McKinney of Newland and Margaret Harwood of Morganton; and five grandchildren.
