The Toe River Chamber Ensemble invites the public to their Annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 29 at 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church on the Burnsville Square. This Concert is FREE and open to the public.  The program will include a special piece featuring Shane Rathburn in “Rapsodie for Orchestra and Saxophone” by Claude Debussy. Other pieces include an arrangement of Die Fledermaus Overture (The Bat) by Johann Strauss II, Pavane by Gabriel Faure, Trumpet Voluntary by Henry Purcell, Ritual Fire Dance from El Amor Brujo by Manuel De Falla, A Tribute to John Williams featuring the music of John Williams, and The Egmont Overture by Ludwig van Beethoven. The thirty something orchestra is under the direction of Lisa Mauney.  The Toe River Chamber Ensemble is made possible in part by a Grassroots Arts Grant, from the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency and is currently sponsored by the Toe River Arts Council.
