Details: Tom Higgins of Burnsville passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013, at his home.  A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Quinton and Lala Miller Higgins.  He was also preceded in death by a brother:  Tim Higgins.
     Surviving are a sister:  Veronica Willis and husband, Ronnie, of Green Mountain; and, a niece:  Amanda Edwards of Burnsville.
     A memorial service will be held at 6PM Sunday, February 17, 2013, in Big Creek Free Will Baptist Church.  Rev. Marvin Hensley will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
