Two Buncombe County Residents Arrested on Drug Charges

On Monday, May 5th, 2014, Sheriff Gary Banks and Detective Mark Letterman conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of US Hwy 19E and Possum Trot Rd. As the male subject exited the vehicle, Sheriff Banks observed a syringe fall to the floorboard from the driver’s lap. Upon searching the vehicle and subjects, several syringes and a small amount of what appeared to be cocaine were seized along with other items.
 
Jackson Tyler Young, 25, of 148 Ginger Quill Circle, Candler, NC was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine, Maintain a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place, Sell/Deliver Cocaine, and Possession with Intent Manufacture/Sell/Distribute Cocaine. Young was released on a $40,000.00 secured bond. 

Whitney Adele Jones, 25, of 600 Landis Ct. Apt 101, Asheville, NC was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Cocaine, Maintain a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place, Sell/Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent Manufacture/Sell/Distribute Cocaine and Possession Drug Paraphernalia. Jones was released on a $40,000.00 secured bond.
