Mitchell High School History Teacher and Local Historian Matt Hurd is compiling information about Mitchell County’s Fallen Soldiers.  He is committed to preserving the history and memory of our local heroes.  He is putting together a website of all Mitchell County Citizens who lost their lives in service to our country.  The website will feature one page for each person with any pictures / letters or personal stories that can be gathered.  Any stories, letters or pictures of Mitchell County fallen soldiers would be appreciated.  The goal is to have the web site completed by Memorial Day 2013.  Contact Matt Hurd at: mhurd@mhslive.net for more information.
