Details: Wilkie Randolph of Little Creek, went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 11, 2014, at his home.
A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Malone and Abby Adkins Randolph, and the husband of Atlas Whitson Randolph who died in 1998. He was also preceded in death by sisters: Evia Hunter, Ollie Cantrell and Bashi Randolph; 3 brothers: Arthur, Roscoe and J. B. Randolph; and, a grandson: Toby Elisha Randolph. Wilkie was a Korean War US Army Veteran.
Surviving are 2 sons: Stacey Randolph and Ronnie Randolph and wife, Marsha, all of Burnsville; 2 granddaughters: Jeanne Randolph of Burnsville and Elizabeth Renegar of Weaverville; 4 great grandchildren: Brooke Whitehead of Burnsville, Elisha Randolph, Caeley and Grayson Renegar all of Weaverville; his best friends and companions, his dogs: Sadie and Doc; a brother: Clarence Randolph of Chesnee, SC; and, a sister: Nannie Couch of Spartanburg, SC. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Raymond Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Whitson Cemetery at Bent Creek, with military graverites by Sgt. E. L. Randolph, Chapter 57 DAV.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
