Micaela Cooper Wins WHC Championships

Mountain Heritage Senior Micaela Cooper won Western Highlands Conference Championships in the following events: 100 Meter Hurdles, 300 Meter Hurdles, Long Jump and Triple Jump. Micaela was also awarded Western Highlands Most Valuable in Women's Field Events.

Buckner First Runner Up In Regionals

Grant Buckner, a junior at Mt. Heritage High School qualified for Regionals in Newton-Conover in Men's 2-A tennis and was first runner up. Grant got a number 2 seed and won 3 matches. He will head to State Championships in Cary NC.

The most prolific three point shooter in the history of Mountain Heritage Lady Cougar basketball has signed a letter of intent to play college basketball at Catawba Valley Community College.

The 7th Grade Yancey Cougars took another win in the War on the Floor Basketball tournament in Gray TN at Daniel Boone High School. Cougars Make All-WHC List

Mountain Heritage basketball was well represented when the Western Highlands Conference announced its All-Conference teams last week. The Cougars had seven players voted All-Conference this season after finishing among the top teams in the league. (More)
