The Yancey Health Department and WIC Program provide breastfeeding education and support to all women in Yancey County regardless of income.  Breastfeeding counselors are available 24 hours a day to offer one-on-one assistance before and after pregnancy.  This service is made possible through funding from Mitchell-Yancey Partnership for Children.  For more information call the Yancey County Health Department at 682-6118.
