Kyler Hoilman Earns Slot on Team NC

Rising Mitchell senior Kyler Hoilman has earned a slot as a member of NCUSA's Junior National Dual Team. The team will compete in the Junior National Duals this week in Oklahoma City. (more)

Harris Middle School Competing Nationally

Mitchell County Schools is pleased to announce that Ryan Richardson, a 7th Grade Wrestler at Harris Middle School, has earned a slot on the 2014 North Carolina School Boy National Dual WrestlingTeam. Ryan will compete against some of the top wrestlers from across the nation at Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana June 4th - 8th. He is one of 16 wrestlers from our state to earn a slot as member of the team. Ryan will be wrestling at 136 lbs. The administration, faculty and staff of MCS would like to congratulate Ryan on this accomplishment and wish him the very best of luck in the summer competition.

Mitchell School Board and Commissioners Honor Wrestling Team

Members of the Mitchell High wrestling team where honored on Tuesday at the school in Ledger with a ceremony to commemorate their 1A state dual-team championship for 2014.
