The Yancey Humane Society is pleased to announce that your dogs and cats can now be fixed for free! If your pet is 4 months or older, a rabies vaccination is required. Rabies vaccinations cost $6.00 per pet. You must be a Yancey County resident to take advantage of this special offer. You may sign up your pet at the animal shelter during hours open to the public. Those hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. The animal shelter is closed Wednesdays and Sundays.
