Details: Born on June 23, 1929 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Dock and Eva Burleson Greene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; Arby Greene and Arie Greene; and her sisters; Dailey Buchanan, Jane Wyatt, Bertie English, and Lula Frye. She was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church.
     The funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie Greene will be conducted on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 4:00 pm at the Bear Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Rathbone officiating. Interment will follow in the Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm at the church.
    Left to cherish her memories are a daughter; Brenda C. McNeill and husband, Johnny of Spruce Pine; a granddaughter; Rita Nutter and husband, Michael of Spruce Pine; two great grandchildren; Brianna and Case of Spruce Pine; and several caring nieces and nephews.
