Mayland Community College President Dr. John Boyd and County Commissioner Keith Holtsclaw joined with the Mitchell County Historical Society’s event “I Am An American Solider… “ that honored and remembered local heroes. Boyd and Holtsclaw read accounts from area veterans and shared their own experiences during the Historical Society’s monthly meeting at the Mitchell County Historic Courthouse in Bakersville.
