Details: He was the son of the late Frank and Fannie Hughes Massey. He was retired from Great Lake Carbon in the Graphite Department. He attended Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
     Survivors include his wife Lois Ann Massey of the home, daughter, Ronda Ann Chapman of Morganton, NC, sons, Donald Lee Massey, of Elk Park, NC and Michael Dean Massey, of Marion, NC, sisters, Frankie Thomas, of Morganton, NC, Phyllis Arrwood, of Raleigh, NC, and Renda Odom, of Newland, NC, brothers, Gary Massey, of Newland, NC, Frank Massey, of Morganton, NC, and David Massey, of New Jersey, five grandchildren, Jessica Massey, Amber, Christopher, and Stephanie Chapman, and Jamonti Jackson.
     Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 3:00PM in Faith Missionary Baptist Church on Hwy 70 with Terry Robinson and Ralph Shuffler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery on Hwy 126.
