Details: Born on July 21, 1924 in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Hall, Sr. and Emma Jane McKinney Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Pitman who passed away in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her brothers; John Hall, James Hall, Sidney Hall, Jr., and Charles Hall.
     The funeral services for Mrs. Hassie Pitman will be conducted on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 4:00 pm at the Pine Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Pine Branch Baptist Church.
     Left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Adele Dunbar and husband, C.P. of Blowing Rock, NC; her son; Brent Pitman and wife, Wilkie of Charlotte, NC; her sister; Malinda Murphy of Stanley, NC; her brothers; Bill Hall and Wendell Hall both of Marion; her grandchildren; Lauren Dunbar of Seattle, WA; Carmen Dunbar of Atlanta, GA; Grant Pitman and Emily Pitman both of Charlotte.
