The Yancey County Department of Social Services is now open in their new location at 320 Pensacola Road.  The contact numbers remain the same for Economic/Administrative Services at 828-682-6148; and Children and Family Services at 828-682-2470.  The mailing address continues to be PO Box 67, Burnsville, NC 28714.  The consolidation enables DSS to serve the citizens of Yancey County in a more convenient and efficient manner.
