Details: He was born on September 2, 1917 in Mecklenburg County.  He was preceded in death by his Mother; Mamie Wiseman and his Father; Sep Wiseman.  In addition to his Mother and Father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clariece Watson Wiseman and two sons; Del Mark Wiseman and Thomas Max Wiseman.
     Mr. Wiseman was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.  He served in Company B, the 23rd Infantry Division that took part in the Battle of the Bulge and served in the European Theater.  He was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, Eamet Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Ribbon.
     The funeral service for Mr. Dick Wiseman will be conducted on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 3:00 pm at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev’s. Clay Dale, Darrin Waldroup and Wallace Wise officiating.  Interment will follow in the Wiseman Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
     Mr. Dick Wiseman is survived by his son; Gene Wiseman and wife, Pam of Newland; his daughter; Gaye Dale and husband, Pat of Newland; his daughter-in-law; Lynda Wiseman of Newland his grandchildren; Shannon Tipton and husband, Steve; April Hicks; Summer Crosby and husband, Bing; Adam Wiseman; Rev. Clay Dale and wife, Meg; and Ashley Wiseman; great grandchildren; Blake Hicks; Hannah Ruth Crosby; Gabe Tipton; Abigail Faith Crosby; Teagan Clarelise Dale; Nathan Tipton; Lydia Claire Crosby; Ezekiel Richard Dale; and Traven Hamilton; some very special sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
