The Mitchell County Cooperative Extension plans to hold a tree-grafting workshop on Thursday March 8th at the Mitchell County Extension Center in Bakersville.  The same workshop will be offered  at 9:00 am and 6:00 pm both days and will last three hours each.   This workshop is designed to give participants a basic understanding of how to graft a tree (primarily apple trees).  Attendees will learn several different grafting techniques as well as how to collect proper cuttings.  The cost is $10.00 per person.  If you would like more information or wish to register for a workshop, please contact the Mitchell County Cooperative Extension at 688-4811.
